-
Booking & Performance Expectations

- Set lengths, start times, and break schedules will be confirmed in advance. The Performer must adhere to these timings unless agreed otherwise by Electric Chapel management.
- Performers are responsible for bringing any personal instruments, tools, or specific equipment not supplied by the Venue. The Venue will provide a basic PA system and sound technician, unless otherwise specified.
-
Conduct & Behaviour
- Professional conduct is expected at all times. This includes punctuality, respectful interaction with staff, patrons, and other performers, and refraining from disruptive behaviour.
- Performances which include elements which may be considered risqué require prior discussion with Electric Chapel management and must be delivered in a professional, respectful and competent manner, ensuring consent, standards of decency, and the personal wellbeing of all concerned is paramount.
- Any form of behaviour deemed by Electric Chapel management to be in violation of our acceptable behaviour policy (harassment, excessive intoxication, meaningful discrimination, or violence) will result in immediate termination of the performance and forfeiture of any payment due.
- Any concerns regarding the behaviour of any individual within the Venue must be immediately raised with a member of staff. If this is not possible, it must be raised with a member of staff at the earliest convenience and should not be discussed with any third party prior to this discussion taking place, within the bounds of the law. Any concerns raised will be promptly investigated by the Venue, taking into account all pertinent information.
- Performers must not promote or advertise any third-party events, venues, or businesses during their performance without prior approval from management.
- Alcohol may be provided at the discretion of Electric Chapel. Excessive drinking before or during performances is not permitted.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the Venue unless part of a pre-approved performance act.
-
Promotion & Marketing
- Electric Chapel may use the Performer’s name, promotional images, and performance footage for promotional purposes in connection with the scheduled or any future event. Electric Chapel will undertake best endeavours to seek approval from the Performer before publishing any promotional material.
- Performers are encouraged to promote their scheduled performance via social media and personal networks.
-
Payment Terms
- Payment amount and terms will be agreed upon prior to the performance date.
- Payment will be made via bank transfer within 1 working day of completion of the performance, subject to satisfactory fulfilment of agreed terms.
- Cancellations by the Performer with less than 72 hours notice may result in a reduction or forfeiture of payment, at the discretion of Electric Chapel.
- In the event of cancellation by the Venue (outside force majeure), a cancellation payment may be provided to cover expenses incurred by the Performer (in whole or in part) on a best endeavours basis.
-
Equipment & Liability
- The Performer is liable for any damage caused to the Venue’s property, equipment, or infrastructure as a result of negligence or misuse.
- Electric Chapel is not responsible for any loss or damage to the Performer’s personal property or equipment while on-site. A dressing room and key will be provided to the Performer during their time at the Venue.
- Performers are required to carry their own public liability insurance, with a sufficient level of cover commensurate with the nature of their performance.
-
Health & Safety
- Performers must comply with all health and safety regulations and emergency procedures as communicated by Electric Chapel staff.
- Any special performance requirements involving fire, pyrotechnics, or other hazardous elements must be disclosed and approved in advance.
-
Termination of Agreement
- Electric Chapel reserves the right to cancel or terminate a performance at any time for breach of these Terms & Conditions or for health, safety or legal reasons, where the performer is at fault.
- In such cases, payment may be withheld at the discretion of management. Any monies already paid to the Performer shall be returned to Electric Chapel within 30 days, unless otherwise agreed.
-
Governing Law
-
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of England, and any disputes shall be resolved in the first instance by informal discussion between all parties.
